This weekend saw two of our players attend a tier 4 tournament in Milton Keynes.

Ed and Chris played in the men's doubles on Saturday. After winning a tough three ender in their first match, they then faced the pair who would be the eventual runner's up of the competition. Ed and Chris took them all the way, but lost 21-16 in the third end which saw them out of the competition after the group stage.

They both played in the singles on Sunday. The standard was extremely high and they both did well to win one and lose one in their respective groups.

On 27 April, the end of season handicap doubles tournament took place. With handicaps ranging from -8 to +9 per game, it was a tough night for Chippenham 23 pairs. Despite this, another all Chippenham 23 final took place with Steve Hulbert/Joe Hulbert facing off against Jack Agnew/Rich Grainger. Steve and Joe had a four point advantage and managed to clinch the final in two games!

This means we have had Chippenham 23 winners in all three end of season tournaments, with runners up from our club in two of them too!

The Mid Wilts Mixed doubles handicap tournament took place on 20 April, with three pairs entered from Chippenham 23. I am please to report that it was an all Chippenham 23 final (despite both the pairs being on the most detrimental handicap). Well done to Bex and Rich who ran out winners, and to runners up Steve and Claire.

Well done to Chippenham 23's Jack Angew who retained the Mid Wilts Singles title he won in 2019!

Well done to all the Chippenham 23 players who entered the Wiltshire Restricted Tournament on 26th September. The standard of play shown by our club was excellent and our players reached semi-finals in all five disciplines. The tournament provided some great action photos - see below and there are more on the gallery page!
